New Delhi, August 11, 2026: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited online applications for 34 vacancies across various government departments and ministries. Eligible candidates can apply through the UPSC Online Recruitment Application (ORA) portal.
The application process started on August 8, 2026. The last date to apply is 6 PM on August 28, 2026, for most posts. For vacancies under the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh, candidates can submit applications until September 4, 2026.

UPSC Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility requirements differ according to the post.
For Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil), candidates must generally possess a degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification. The post also requires two years of supervisory experience in the design, maintenance and construction of structural and reinforced concrete works.
For the Research Officer position, applicants must have a master’s degree in subjects such as Geography, Geology, Applied Geology, Geoinformatics, GIS and Remote Sensing, Geomatics or Geospatial Technology, with the prescribed subject studied at the bachelor’s level. Candidates must also have the required professional experience in geographical and cartographical teaching or research involving data collection and map preparation.
For Horticulture Development Officer, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture Science or Agriculture Science. This vacancy is specifically subject to the prescribed domicile requirements for the Union Territory of Ladakh.

Application Fee
Candidates, except women, SC, ST and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), are required to pay an application fee of ₹25.
